PERTH AMBOY, NJ – (Nov. 25, 2020) – Mayoral candidate Helmin J. Caba says the Nov. 3rd election results clearly show most Perth Amboy voters want positive changes in City Hall as he launched a vigorous campaign to win the Dec.15 runoff election.

“I am grateful to voters for decisively supporting the 2020 Vision Team, qualifying us for the upcoming runoff. The latest election results also indicate 9,956 people – or 67% of the total turnout – voted against City Hall’s current Administration,” Caba said. “In a practical sense, Wilda Diaz lost this election for mayor. More voters cast ballots for me or for another of her other admirable opponents.”

“The other three mayoral contenders waged worthy campaigns. Each of them advocated ways to improve our city. We are united in that respect,” said Caba, the city’s Democratic chairman. “I am working hard to embrace their supporters and bring about meaningful, positive changes for our city.”

Caba and the “2020 Vision for Perth Amboy” Team – Council running mates Rose B. Morales and Bienvenido “BJ” Torres Jr. – are the only candidates with a comprehensive 27-point platform to improve the city’s economy, create new jobs, reduce property taxes and make the city safer and more affordable.

“Rose, BJ and I are ready to bring strong, decisive leadership to City Hall and achieve tangible results for our city,” Caba said. “With cooperation, hard work and God’s grace we will make Perth Amboy a better place to live and work for everyone.”
