CAMDEN CITY COUNCIL PRESIDENT, VICE PRESIDENT, AND MEMBERS OF COUNCIL BACK CARSTARPHEN FOR MAYOR

(CAMDEN, NJ) – Today the following members of the Camden City Council issued this joint statement: Council President Curtis Jenkins; Council Vice President Marilyn Torres; Councilman Angel Fuentes; Councilwoman Sheila Davis; and Councilwoman Shaneka Boucher.

“As colleagues of Councilman Vic Carstarphen, we offer our public support to him to replace retiring Mayor Frank Moran and endorse Vic’s candidacy for Mayor in the June Democratic primary election.

We look forward to working with Vic to continue the great progress we’ve made as a team on community policing, better schools, economic development, and infrastructure improvements. We’re confident that he will continue to serve the City with distinction in this new role.

We urge our Camden City Democratic Committee members to support Vic in the coming days and months as we look forward to another successful election season. Camden is rising.”
