(Gloucester Township, NJ) – The Board of Education at Camden County Technical Schools officially appointed its newest member, Jerry J. Silvi of Cherry Hill, during the district’s December Board meeting. Silvi was unanimously approved to serve a four-year term.

“I’m pleased to welcome Jerry Silvi as a CCTS board member,” said William T. Mink, Board of Education President. “While this has been a challenging year for all of us, I’m confident that with Mr. Silvi’s background and enthusiasm, along with our Board’s breadth of expertise, experience and skills, CCTS will continue to provide responsive, high-quality education and career training for high school students in Camden County.”

Silvi currently serves as the Senior Vice President at Republic Bank, and previously served as Executive Vice President, Residential and Commercial Lending, at 1st Colonial Community Bank.

“I look forward to working with my fellow board members and the administration to carry out the responsibilities required of me,” said Mr. Silvi.  “I understand the complex needs of our students and am ready to hit-the-ground running to help implement the School Board’s established goals. It is a demanding and deeply rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of the students who opted to attend CCTS as well as the business community.”
