Candidate Michael J. Silva Packs the House

Newark: Last Night, Michael J. Silva, candidate for Newark’s East Ward City Council seat, spoke to a crowd of nearly two hundred residents, business owners and elected officials. Silva enthusiastically engaged the crowd and further discussed why he is the best candidate to represent Newark’s East Ward. Thursday’s successful event is another example of the growing groundswell of support for Silva’s campaign from East Ward residents.

“I want to thank Councilman Eddie Osborne for joining our campaign event last night. It was a great honor for our campaign to have him in attendance and I am glad he had a chance to see what our campaign is all about, ” said Michael Silva, candidate for the East Ward councilman. “As I said last night to the large crowd of supporters, I am not running for the job that I need – I am running for the job that needs to get done to make Newark’s East Ward a place we are all proud to call home. We have garbage piling up in the streets, we have an out of control of homelessness problem, we have a police department that is short staffed. Something needs to be done.”

This continues the string of strong showings from Silva’s Campaign since his announcement.  Silva’s campaign was the first to announce their senior campaign leadership team, the first to release an ad about his candidacy, and led all candidates in fundraising efforts during this past quarter. With the growing momentum of his candidacy, it is easy to see why so many voters are rallying behind Michael Silva’s candidacy for Newark city council.
