The Black Cannabis Equity Initiative(BCEI), African American Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey, New Jersey CannaBusiness Association,, American Civil Liberties Union, Minorities for Medical Marijuana, NJ NAACP, Capital City Area Black Caucus, Columbia Care-New Jersey, Pure Genesis, Trulieve, Doctors for Cannabis Regulation, Coalition for Medical Marijuana-NJ and a host of other organization, faith leaders, businesses and cannabis advocates are sponsoring a cannabis zoom event on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 from 3:00pm-5:15pm[See attached flyer]. This is the fourth of the BCEI monthly zoom series and the focus of these virtual events is “Cannabis Legalization in New Jersey-What Could and Should Social Equity Look Like in the Garden State?” The purpose of this gathering is to bring together cannabis stakeholders[Elected Officials, industry leaders, businesses, black community organizations and advocates] from across New Jersey to discuss the cannabis legalization journey and get current updates.

This fourth monthly cannabis legalization in NJ zoom discussion will include three Fireside Chats with national cannabis industry and state leaders, a series of panels that will address women in NJ’s cannabis industry, legalization impact on state, counties and municipalities and social equity opportunities in the current landscape. In addition, there will be presentations on hot topic issues like access to capital, accounting, cannabis laws as well as research and development, a Social Equity Business Accountability Report Card and BCEI NJ Cannabis Social Equity Spotlight featuring remarks by Roz McCarthy, Founder & CEO, Minorities for Medical Marijuana.
