Capital Health presents Hope is in the Bag 2021 to benefit Center for Comprehensive Breast Care
(Pennington, NJ) Capital Health will host Hope is in the Bag, a one-day shopping event at Pennington Quality Market (PQM), on Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The one-day event is part of a campaign to raise funds for the Capital Health Center for Comprehensive Breast Care. PQM, owned by the Rothwell family, will donate a portion of the day’s sales to the Center and feature celebrity baggers, giveaways, raffle prizes, and education on breast care, nutrition and prevention. A door prize drawing will take place at 2:30 p.m. Pennington Quality Market is located at 25 NJ-31 S, Pennington, New Jersey 08534. All funds raised will directly benefit the women (and men) who receive care at the Center for Comprehensive Breast Care.
“My mother’s death from breast cancer was a major influence in our efforts to raise awareness and help educate women on breast care and preventive health,” said Michael Rothwell, owner and operator of Pennington Quality Market. “Our efforts took on greater importance when my sisters, Barbara and Terri, and other members of our PQM Family were diagnosed with breast cancer. My family’s commitment to support the Capital Health Center for Comprehensive Breast Care is very personal to us because it’s located here in our community and provides the highest quality care and support for our PQM family and friends.”
“At Capital Health’s Center for Comprehensive Breast Care, we are guided by the idea that no two patients are alike,” said Dr. Lisa Allen, a fellowship trained breast surgeon and director of the Capital Health Center for Comprehensive Breast Care. “We emphasize treating the whole person, not just the disease, and each patient is cared for by a multidisciplinary team that collaborates closely to develop the most effective treatment possible. ”
The Capital Health Center for Comprehensive Breast Care provides a complete range of breast care under one roof, from annual screenings and advanced diagnostics to genetic testing, leading-edge cancer care and a high-risk breast cancer program. The Center is accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), a program of the American College of Surgeons. For more information, visit capitalbreast.org.
