Caputo Statement on Legislation Bolstering Tourism Promotion Efforts

Four-Bill Package Advanced from Joint Assembly Tourism and Assembly Agriculture Committees Meeting

(TRENTON) – Assemblyman Ralph Caputo (D-Essex), Chair of the Assembly Tourism, Gaming and the Arts Committee, issued the following statement regarding his committee’s combined meeting with the Assembly Agriculture and Food Security Committee:

“Here in New Jersey, we are well-known for our beautiful beaches, top-notch casinos, and small historic towns—our state has so much to offer. Legislation advanced today will help strengthen our state tourism efforts. More families deserve the opportunity to visit and enjoy New Jersey in all of its regions.

“Beyond that, New Jersey’s travel and tourism industry fuels job growth and stimulates local economies in communities across our state. This industry was one of many severely impacted by the pandemic. This package of bills will help us more efficiently promote the countless tourist attractions throughout the state, and requiring annual reporting will allow us to carefully monitor the success of our efforts as we continue to help the tourism industry rebound from the pandemic.”
