CIANJ Statement on Governor Murphy’s 2023 State of the State Address

January 11^th, 2023 – “We look forward to working with Governor Murphy, his team, and the Legislature in growing our economy and increasing the number of private sector jobs in New Jersey,” said Anthony Russo, President of the Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey (CIANJ).

“We are encouraged to hear the commitment and focus on strengthening our infrastructure and providing strategic incentives in attracting and retaining private sector jobs in New Jersey,” Russo said. “Transparency, speed, and accountability will be the key to achieving this success as Federal and State funds are expended.”

“We also hope the Governor and the Legislature will take this opportunity to review, streamline, and eliminate taxes and regulations that burden our business community”, Russo said.  “With record high inflation and a looming recession, these measures will go a long way in sustaining and strengthening our economy”.
