Ciattarelli Rolls Out New Morris County GOP Endorsements as Momentum Builds
Ciattarelli is the only candidate who can defeat Phil Murphy in ’21 and fix New Jersey
Somerville, December 11, 2020 – Two-time successful small business owner and leading GOP candidate for Governor, Jack Ciattarelli, today rolled out over two dozen new endorsements in Morris County, including Assemblyman Brian Bergen, incoming Commission Director Stephen Shaw, former County Chairman Dick Kamin, and Republican Mayors from 17 different towns.
The group joins Assemblywoman BettyLou DeCroce and Sheriff Jim Gannon, who endorsed Ciattarelli earlier this week.
“As a West Point Graduate and Army Officer I recognize great leadership when I see it,” said Assemblyman Bergen. “Jack Ciattarelli represents the type of leader that we need in New Jersey. He is the right candidate, at the right time, to lead us to victory in November. Jack’s combination of commonsense conservative ideas and small business success is the right recipe to make sure Phil Murphy is one and done on ’21.”
“In Morris County, we’ve cut taxes, invested in infrastructure, and delivered for our frontline healthcare workers and first responders during this pandemic. It’s government that puts results before rhetoric, and that is exactly the kind of Governor Jack Ciattarelli will be,” said incoming Commission Director Shaw. “I am proud to support him and know he is the right person at the right time to lead our party forward.”
“Between higher property taxes and unfair ‘affordable housing’ mandates, Phil Murphy and Trenton Democrats are dismantling the excellent quality of life we enjoy here in Montville,” said Mayor Frank Cooney. “We need a Governor who understands what’s broken with our state and how to fix it. Jack Ciattarelli is that Governor, and I fully support him.”
Ciattarelli called Morris County “extremely critical” to winning both the primary and general elections.
“Morris County is proof positive that commonsense conservative polices work,” said Ciattarelli. “If the State of New Jersey were run half as well as Morris County, we’d be an economic engine for the northeast, taxes would be lower, and the credit agencies would be praising us. Unfortunately, under Phil Murphy’s failed leadership, it’s the exact opposite. Together with my friends and supporters in Morris County we are going unite our party and turn things around to fix our state. I am honored to have earned the support of such an impressive group of GOP leaders.”
