CITY OF PATERSON RECEIEVES $900K COSSAP GRANT

Funding will help fight the opioid epidemic.

Mayor Andre Sayegh and Congressman Bill Pascrell will announce the City of Paterson has been awarded a grant by the Department of Justice (DOJ). The Comprehensive Opioid, Stimulant, and Substance Abuse Program (COSSAP) grant in the amount of $900K is a drug prevention grant to help identify and support individuals who have been impacted by the opioid epidemic. In 2019, the City received its first grant to begin collecting data, increasing internal capacity, and coordinating external partners in order to identify and fill service gaps. The goal of the COSSAP proposal is to extend these efforts through 2023.
