CITY OF PATERSON AND ST. JOSEPH’S HEALTH TO BUILD A FITNESS ZONE
Mayor Sayegh will also unveil the city’s long-awaited parks vision plan
PATERSON- Throughout the pandemic, extra emphasis has been placed on the importance of physical fitness in helping combat COVID-19. To further the focus on health and wellness, the City of Paterson and St. Joseph’s Health are partnering to build a fitness zone at one of Paterson’s most popular parks. The fitness zone will feature state of the art equipment to encourage residents to exercise.
Moreover, Mayor Andre Sayegh along with Council Members, the Friends of Paterson Parks, and the Parks and Recreation Commission will unveil a Parks Vision Plan. The aforementioned plan was prepared by Andy Stone, a preeminent parks professional who worked in the Bloomberg Administration and with the Trust for Public Land. The plan was funded through a grant that the City of Paterson secured from the National Recreation and Parks Association.
