Civil Service Commission to Host Virtual Information Sessions to Reach Hispanic
Heritage Communities in New Jersey

Trenton – The New Jersey Civil Service Commission will continue to host its Virtual Information
Sessions to promote careers in State and local government. The upcoming series of sessions will
provide outreach to communities of Hispanic heritage in the Garden State and will be translated
into Spanish. All New Jersey job seekers are welcomed to attend these sessions.

The Hispanic Heritage Virtual Information Sessions will be held on the following dates:

• Thursday, July 1, 2021, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM
• Tuesday, July 6, 2021, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM
• Monday, July 12, 2021, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM
• Thursday, July 22, 2021, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM

“Our Virtual Information Sessions have reached hundreds of job seekers across the State,” said
Civil Service Commission Chair/CEO Deirdré Webster Cobb, Esq., “The Hispanic Heritage
sessions will broaden our reach and help us to find diverse candidates looking to join the civil
service workforce.”

Each session will include an hour-long overview on how to apply for State and local government
jobs. Attendees will be provided resource materials and will also have the opportunity to hear from
CSC representatives who will answer questions related to the application process.
