Civil Service Commission to Host Lawrenceville Job Fair

Commission continues to host series of public events throughout the State

TRENTON- As part of its commitment to ensuring a qualified and diverse civil service workforce, the New Jersey Civil Service Commission (CSC) is scheduled to expand upon its series of public employment job fairs into 2020. All New Jersey residents are encouraged to attend these free events, which will be held at various locations throughout New Jersey. This will be an ideal opportunity to meet with state government representatives to discuss opportunities within public government and attend career workshops. Please share this information with your friends and families.

Events are currently slated for the following dates:

• Wednesday, January 15, 2020 – Lawrenceville National Guard Armory, 151 Eggert Crossing Rd, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648 (10am – 1:30pm)

• Thursday, April 9, 2020 – Camden County College, The Connector Building, 200 N Broadway, Blackwood, NJ 08102 (10am – 1:30pm)

• Wednesday, June 17, 2020 – Rowan College at Burlington County, Student Success Center, 1500 College Circle, Mt. Laurel, NJ 08054 (10am – 1:30pm)

• Friday, September 18, 2020 – Atlantic Cape Community College, Worthington Atlantic City Campus, 1535 Bacharach Blvd, Atlantic City, NJ 08104 (10am – 1:30pm)

“The purpose of our public employment fairs is to provide a forum for job seekers and public employers to meet face-to-face to discuss open career opportunities,” said Deirdré L. Webster Cobb, Esq., Chair and Chief Executive Officer of the New Jersey Civil Service Commission. “We want to continue to provide resources and services throughout the State and let residents know that Civil Service is here to work for you.”

“We are looking forward to the upcoming employment fairs to help connect more people in the community with state government employment opportunities,” said event organizer, Denise Sharperson, Esq., State Workforce Diversity and Inclusion Manager. “The employment fair is also an important opportunity to provide information about the benefits of a career in the public sector.
