(Trenton) – New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials announced the Commercial Vehicle Travel Restriction will be lifted effective at 9 a.m. today, Monday, January 26 for all highways.
All vehicles previously listed in the Commercial Vehicle Travel Restriction are able to resume normal travel on the following highways in both directions:

- I-295 (entire length)
- I-676 (entire length)
- NJ Route 440 (both directions from the Outerbridge Crossing to I-287)
Speed Restrictions Remain in Effect
The Emergency Traffic Regulation Order that temporarily lowers all posted speed limits to 35 miles per hour on Interstate and State highways in New Jersey remains in effect on the following roads:
- All Interstate highways in New Jersey
- All S. and State highways in New Jersey
- The New Jersey Turnpike
- The Garden State Parkway
- The Atlantic City Expressway
NJDOT crews and contractors are expected to work throughout the day to continue cleanup efforts on Interstate and State highways to ensure roads are clear and safe. However, low temperatures causing refreeze and winds blowing snow may cause roads to be slippery. Road conditions can change quickly.
Avoid unnecessary travel and let crews continue to clean the roads. If you must drive, use caution and follow the 35mph emergency speed limit.
