Commission Launches 21 County One-Stop Tour

Effort to Promote Careers in State and Local Government

TRENTON- In order to promote careers in State and local government, the New Jersey Civil Service Commission (CSC) is scheduled to visit one Department of Labor One-Stop Employment Office in each New Jersey county. All New Jersey residents are encouraged to attend these free presentations, which will be held at various locations. Each visit will include an hour overview on how to apply for State and local jobs and provide resource materials. Also, we will answer any questions pertaining to the application process.  Please share this information with your friends and families.

Events are currently slated for the following dates:

•           Friday, December 13, 2019: Hackensack One Stop (Bergen County),

60 State St, Hackensack, NJ 07601 (10:30 am- 12:00 pm)

•           Friday, December 13, 2019: Paterson One Stop (Passaic County),

200 Memorial Drive, Paterson, NJ 07505 (1:00 pm- 3:00 pm)

“The State of New Jersey is the employer of choice” said Deirdré L. Webster Cobb, Esq., Chair and Chief Executive Officer of the New Jersey Civil Service Commission. “Visiting each county allows us to provide resources and services throughout the State and lets residents know that Civil Service is here to work for you.”

“Our 21 County One-Stop tours are a way for us to inform people about the great opportunities that are available on the state, county and local levels,” said event organizer, Denise Sharperson, Esq., State Workforce Diversity and Inclusion Manager. “Often times, people have questions or are confused about how to apply for state government positions. We want to be able to be a resource for them and walk them through the process.”
