Commissioners honor 234 students in annual Best of Class
(Gloucester Township, NJ) – The Camden County Commissioner Board is honoring 234 senior students who attend 33 public and nonpublic high schools throughout Camden County as “Best of Class 2021” award recipients. The Board will be celebrating the accomplishments of these incredible students virtually throughout the week, as the annual Best of Class ceremony could not be held in person due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Commissioner Board’s “Best of Class” awards honor students in seven categories: most courageous, community service, leadership, performing arts, most improved, school spirit and best overall. Each day this week, the Commissioner Board will be honoring a group of recipients on the county’s Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages. The posts began last night, June 14, with students in the “leadership” category.
The full schedule is as follows:
- Leadership – Monday 6/14
- Community Service – Tuesday 6/15
- Most Improved – Wednesday 6/16
- Performing Arts – Thursday 6/17
- Most Courageous – Friday 6/18
- School Spirit – Saturday 6/19
- Best Overall – Sunday 6/20
“We are proud to recognize seniors from every high school in Camden County who have demonstrated pride in academic achievement and strive to improve themselves while helping others in their communities,” said Commissioner Deputy Director Ed McDonnell.
“Unfortunately, we were not able to gather in-person to celebrate these incredible students, but we remain extremely excited to honor them virtually and provide other ways that they can share their accomplishments with friends, family, and our community.”
Each student will receive a Best of Class medal and certificate which they can proudly display to signify their accomplishments.
