Community Solar by Solar Landscape Now Open for Enrollment Throughout New Jersey

Company nears completion of 17MW of community solar; residents are encouraged to enroll

Asbury Park, N.J. – Solar Landscape has announced that they are nearing completion of 17MW of community solar projects throughout New Jersey – a huge step toward providing more residents with access to solar power without the need to install panels on their property. Enrollment is now open for residents interested in making the switch to access solar.

Having already completed four major projects, Solar Landscape’s in-house team of 60+ installers and electricians are currently on rooftops installing panels for their last two projects. Solar Landscape will achieve its goal ahead of schedule, installing 45,000+ solar panels across New Jersey within the next 30 days. As they do on all projects, Solar Landscape fully owns and operates each of these solar facilities. Working with municipalities and local governments, these projects will provide New Jersey residents access to solar power – focusing heavily on low to moderate income communities who historically have disproportionately less access to clean and affordable energy sources.

“We are thrilled to announce the approaching completion of 17MW of community solar projects,” said Shaun Keegan, Founder and CEO of Solar Landscape. “Our goal is to give as many residents as possible the opportunity to access a cleaner energy source, leading to residential energy savings and we encourage everyone to take advantage. We thank all of our community partners who have helped to make this all possible, along with the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities for their forward-thinking vision for New Jersey’s solar market.”

Solar Landscape is the largest developer and owner of community solar projects in New Jersey. Founded in New Jersey in 2012, they have installed more than 110 high-quality commercial solar projects, removing approximately 6,000 tons of climate-altering carbon dioxide from our air.

These efforts to build community solar are a part of New Jersey’s larger commitment to 100% clean energy by 2050. Through the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities Community Solar Energy Pilot Program, Solar Landscape has been able to play a role in helping New Jersey achieve its clean energy goals. The Community Solar Energy Pilot Program allows New Jersey customers to participate in a solar energy project that is located off their property, allowing for a variety of eligible consumers, including those living in environmental justice communities.
