Congressional Candidate Shawn Hyland, 3rd NJ, Rejects Democrat Plans to have IRS Spy on Everyday Americans’ Bank Accounts

Berkeley Township, NJ – Congressional candidate Shawn Hyland rejected the far-left Democrat plan to have the IRS spy on everyday Americans’ bank accounts.

“The  administration has made clear its plan to beef up IRS auditing by expanding the agency’s funding and power. Biden’s latest proposal would require banks to turn over to the Internal Revenue Service bank account information for all accounts holding more than $600.”*

This radical measure would affect more than one hundred million households and millions of businesses!*

“This is a perfect example of why I am running and why I will defeat Andy Kim next November. The erosion of our freedoms and the government overreach must be stopped. Instead of closing tax loopholes on the super-wealthy, this latest Democrat proposal creates a perpetual state of audit on millions of lower- and middle-class families who can not afford to defend themselves against a powerful entity such as the IRS. Under the Biden Administration, concerned parents are domestic terrorists and low income gig economy workers are targeted for investigations without warrants. Americans must be defended from this gross abuse of state power,” said Shawn Hyland.

The voters of our district need a voice who represent their interests and values in Washington DC.  Shawn Hyland will be that voice and fight back against the destructive government overreach that is dominating our politics today.
