Carpenters Union Endorses Congressman Malinowski’s Re-Election, Applaud Commitment Workers’ Rights and Infrastructure Funding
(Edison)- Congressman Tom Malinowski and the Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters announced the endorsement of Congressman Malinowski’s re-election campaign by the union today.

Sproule, Executive Secretary-Treasurer of the Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters, “The Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters is proud to announce we stand behind Congressman Malinowski’s re-election and are committed to working with him to ensure the infrastructure investment he fought so hard for puts skilled New Jersey workers in the best position to support their families.”
“I’m proud to have delivered for New Jersey’s working men and women by bringing home good-paying jobs, apprenticeships, and protecting prevailing wage, and look forward to partnering with the Carpenters to advance our shared values,” said Congressman Malinowski.
The Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters represents close to 13,000 carpenters in New Jersey alone. The Union has been a strong advocate for the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill, protecting union apprenticeship programs, and the need for more enforcement when it comes to construction industry tax fraud issues including wage theft, worker misclassification, and payroll fraud.
“Congressman Malinowski was one of the strongest supporters in passing the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill which will provide the long-needed funding for the Gateway Project which will put thousands of people to work,” said Assistant Executive Secretary-Treasurer Anthony Abrantes, “Union carpenters will not only build these projects but support those who supported these jobs.”
The Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters represents over 41,000 of the most skilled carpenters who live and work in Delaware, The District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia. EAS Carpenters are trained in many different trades, including commercial/residential carpentry; heavy highway; piledriving; floor-layering; mill cabinet work; and tradeshow construction.
