Congressman Van Drew Requests State of Emergency Declaration from Governor

MAYS LANDING,–Today, Congressman Van Drew requested a state of emergency declaration in response to severe weather in South Jersey. Storms and winds battered down areas already struggling with resource allocation during the COVID-19 crisis. A state of emergency must be declared for the areas impacted to have access to funds.

“Over the last few hours, storms and powerful winds have damaged huge areas of South Jersey, while we are in the midst of a public health crisis,” said Congressman Van Drew. “I am asking the Governor to declare an immediate State of Emergency to help our community rebuild. We need the help now more than ever.”
