Congresswoman Sherrill Airs Second TV Ad of 2022 Election Cycle, Draws Stark Contrast With Opponent on Abortion

West Caldwell, NJ ––  Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill (NJ-11) today released her second television ad of the 2022 election cycle, a shocking and stark reminder of Paul DeGroot’s extreme and dangerous anti-abortion stance.

The ad, entitled “You Got It,” highlights DeGroot’s own words to clearly define his position on abortion. As reported by the Star-Ledger, when asked if he supports letting government ban abortion without exceptions for rape, incest, or even to save a woman’s life, DeGroot’s response was simple, clear, and dangerous — “you got it.”  The 30-second ad will run on broadcast, cable, and OTT starting Wednesday, September 28.

“Since the Supreme Court overturned Roe, states across the country moved swiftly to ban abortion with no exceptions. My opponent is fine with these laws because he thinks these decisions belong with government, not women,” said Rep. Sherrill. “Access to abortion is access to essential healthcare. Women’s rights shouldn’t hinge on a state line. In Congress, I’ll continue to fight to keep politicians out of your personal health decisions and codify Roe. Paul DeGroot won’t.”
