Conservative Panel Discussion of How Big Money Smothers Conservative Voices
Cherry Hill, NJ, September 9, 2022: On Thursday, September 15, 2022, American Promise, New Jersey is hosting a forum on zoom with conservative 2022 NJ Congressional candidates to discuss How Big Money Smothers Conservative Voices. Unlimited political spending in elections knocks our system out of balance to favor candidates who best represent their elite donors and makes everyday people feel that their voices aren’t heard.
Americans across the political spectrum widely support reducing the political power of the wealthy and special interests. American Promise New Jersey works to pass the For Our Freedom Amendment to rebalance political power by allowing Congress and the states to place reasonable limits on campaign money.
In support of the American Promise candidate pledge, panelist Damon Galdo, 2022 Republican primary candidate for NJ-01 said, “The influence of money in politics has turned civic service into a self-serving careerism catering to special interests.” Panelist Trevor Ferrigno, 2022 Together We Stand Party candidate for NJ-05 said, “We must defend the power reserved to the people by the Constitution.” Panelist Gregg Mele, announced 2024 Republican Candidate for US Senate said, “Money plays too big of a role in politics.”
American Promise does not endorse candidates but works to educate voters on this crucial issue through educational forums and sharing candidates’ positions on this initiative. Information presented will give citizens the tools that they need to encourage their candidates to support the For Our Freedom amendment to best represent We The People.
Event information: Thursday September 15, 2022 7:00PM to 8:00PM
