Corrado Sworn-in as Senator for 40th District

Kristin M. Corrado took the oath of office today to become the Senator for New Jersey’s 40th Legislative District.

“I am honored and humbled to have been given this opportunity to serve as the voice of the residents in Legislative District 40 in Trenton and to be able to articulate their hopes and concerns for our great state,” said Corrado. “I am eager to get to work and tackle the issues New Jerseyans are facing today by addressing the sky-high property taxes inundating our homeowners, advocating for our Veteran heroes, and strategizing an end to the opioid epidemic spreading among every race, gender, age, and socioeconomic status. I appreciate the support I have received along my journey to the Statehouse and look forward to this next chapter.”

Corrado was selected to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of former Senator Kevin J. O’Toole, who now serves as Chairman of the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey.

She served as the Passaic County Clerk from 2010 until joining the Senate.

“I want to thank Kevin O’Toole for all of his service to our district and his advice and support to me during this transition period. Public service has been one of my greatest joys and becoming the Senator for the 40th District further allows me to continue that calling,” said Corrado. “I am committed to ensuring our office maintains a high level of constituent service and advocacy on behalf of my constituents. I want to thank the people of Passaic County for the trust they had in me as their County Clerk, and I can’t wait to get to work for the residents of my legislative district.”
