Cory Booker Asked about Marriage Proposal with Rosario Dawson
Presidential hopeful Cory Booker recently sat down with NPR’s Ari Shapiro and two undecided voters from the Newark area. The interview — part of an NPR series with Democratic presidential candidates called Off Script — touched on an array of issues, from the student loan crisis to Booker’s relationship with actress and activist Rosario Dawson and the candidate’s stance on the Tupac vs. Biggie debate.
Diana/Voter: Senator Booker You’re pretty handsome man and I don’t think it’s going to get better than Rosario.
So when are you proposing?
Booker: Oh wow. A dios mio.
I can’t announce something like that. She would be mad at me. That would be her saying no.
Oh you come up with a proposal to me on NPR. For crying out loud.
I would, I would, I would I will if should I ever get to that point.
I will try to embarrass her and put her on the spot. But I’m not making any…I’m very happily happy where I am right now.
