Jersey City’s City Council Ballot
August 26, 2021 (Jersey City, NJ)—Jersey City Councilman Jermaine Robinson accompanied by Barbara Stamato, Chairwoman, Jersey City Democratic Organization, Darlene Green, Co-Ward Leader, and Sullivan Johnson, Ward F Council Aide, dropped off multiple boxes containing 1,123 signatures to the City Clerk’s office on Thursday afternoon, to qualify for his re-election bid for Ward F council seat on the November 2 election. Only 307 signatures are required to enter the race. Robinson has turned in more petitions than any other Ward F candidate to date. The deadline to submit is next week on August 31.
“We have a clear path ahead of us to continue to deliver on the many accomplishments in Ward F over the last four years. I am so proud of my volunteers in making this happen, and the great support of the many residents who support this campaign, we were able to get this done because of their dedication and passion,” said Councilman Jermaine Robinson. “The job is not done. We have more work to do. We need to continue with our aggressive push for more affordable housing, business opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs, park renovations, and demanding community reinvestment from developers. I began doing this work four years ago and I am fiercely committed to completing the job of delivering the city’s first public recreation center for our youth, and ensuring that all Ward F residents, especially our seniors have a better quality of life.”
Councilman Jermaine Robinson advocates to empower the residents in Ward F and improve conditions throughout Jersey City to ensure fairness and equity. A third generation Ward F resident, Robinson knows firsthand the necessity of creating constructive youth services in the city. Since he took office in 2017, he has spearheaded improvements for several parks, implemented a rapid response to COVID-19 in Ward F, and instituted more than 3,000 affordable housing units in Ward F alone.
