Councilman Joe Quintero Launches At-Large Campaign with Strong Support from Local Leaders
HOBOKEN, NJ — Last night, surrounded by a packed crowd of friends, neighbors, and supporters, Councilman Joe Quintero officially announced his candidacy for Hoboken City Council At-Large in the upcoming November 2025 election.
The campaign kickoff, which drew a large and enthusiastic turnout of Hoboken voters, marks the next chapter in Quintero’s work to build a more inclusive, resilient, and forward-looking Hoboken. The event also reflected the growing momentum behind a coalition of leaders focused on continuing progress citywide.
“I’m running At-Large because I believe in a Hoboken that works for all of us,” said Councilman Quintero. “Whether it’s fighting for tenant protections, increasing transparency, or strengthening city services, I’ve been proud to deliver results—and I’m ready to do even more for every neighborhood across our city.”
Councilman Quintero thanked key partners and allies in local government for their leadership and support:
· Councilwoman Emily Jabbour, a trusted ally and mayoral candidate whom Quintero is proud to endorse;
· Mayor Ravi Bhalla, who is now running for the New Jersey General Assembly, for his vision and dedication to Hoboken;
· Councilman Phil Cohen, whose consistent partnership has helped advance shared priorities on the Council.
“I’m incredibly grateful to stand with leaders I trust and believe in,” Quintero added. “Together, we’ve made real progress—and together, we can keep moving Hoboken forward.”
Councilman Quintero has served on the City Council since 2022 and is also currently the Chair of the Hoboken Democratic Party. He brings a proven record of delivering on issues that matter most to Hoboken residents. His re-election bid and partnership with Emily Jabbour’s mayoral candidacy aims to build on that foundation citywide.
