The Union County Freeholder Board would like you to know that a tropical storm warning and flash flood watch has been issued for our area with 3 to 6 inches of rain, 60-70% chance of 40-50 mph sustained winds with gusts of up to 70 mph and minor to moderate storm surge concerns.

 

It is expected to start raining late Monday night with strong winds starting Tuesday afternoon into the night during rush hour commutes.

 

Please take extra precaution, especially if you live in flood prone areas.

  • The Secret Life of Pets 2 scheduled for Tuesday, August 4 in Rahway River Park is cancelled
  • The scheduled walk-up County of Union Covid-test site in Elizabeth at the Logan Rec Center for Tuesday, August 4th is postponed to Saturday, August 15th (10 a.m.-1 p.m.) due to expected inclement weather. If you made a previous appointment, you will receive an email honoring your appointment within the new established time frame.
