Crispi Accepts Second Debate with Smith
Will Smith Take a Stand on Tough Issues
Seaside Park, NJ – America First Republican Mike Crispi today accepted a second debate invitation — this time from NJ101.5 host Bill Spadea who has offered to host the debate between Crispi and 42-year incumbent Chris Smith prior to the June 7 Republican Primary election.
“It’s critical that the people of the Fourth Congressional District hear from us on the issues we feel very differently about,” Crispi said. “He’s been there for 42 years, so it should be really easy for him to answer questions from the moderators and debate an opponent like me who has never held elective office.”
Crispi previously accepted an invitation from the League of Women Voters to debate Smith and work around his congressional obligations in scheduling the event. But Smith has failed to even acknowledge their invitation.
Among the questions Smith hasn’t answered for yet:
– Does he agree with his leading supporter Kevin McCarthy that the impeachment of Joe Biden should be off the table?
– Will he reject the next omnibus spending bill if it includes expanded funding for abortion through Title X Family Planning and the United Nations Population Fund?
– Will he return the money he’s taken from pharmaceutical companies that perform grotesque research on fetal tissue taken from aborted infants?
– Why is he co-sponsoring anti-Second Amendment legislation with Adam Schiff and AOC?
– Why hasn’t Smith signed on to the Religious Freedom Over Mandates Act, (HR 6502), which would prohibit the use of federal dollars to collect information about someone’s religious beliefs.
“My team of America First Republicans is the only team to stand united in complete support for the right to life, the Second Amendment, and medical freedom,” Crispi said. “Why is Congressman Smith unwilling to account for his record?”
