Crossroads4Hope, A Network of Cancer Support, introduces Ralph D. Weaver as its new Chair of the Board of Trustees

February 23, 2022 – (Bedminster, NJ) — Crossroads4Hope, a New Jersey-based nonprofit organization that provides social and emotional support to those affected by cancer, introduced Ralph D. Weaver as their new Chair of the Board of Trustees on February 8, 2022. The announcement came on social media as the organization commemorated its first anniversary under its new name and branding.

After joining Crossroads4Hope’s Board of Trustees in 2018, Weaver quickly made an impact by founding the organization’s Marketing Advisory Committee, as well as actively participating in the Pharma BioTech Committee, aimed at cultivating relationships with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Ralph has also been instrumental in developing robust outreach initiatives to create equitable access to cancer screening, prevention and treatment in underserved communities, and was Chair of Crossroads4Hope’s Philanthropy Committee prior to taking over as Board Chair.

When asked why he joined the Board of Trustees, Weaver responded “Cancer has touched my family and I made a commitment 36 years ago, following the death of my beloved sister from cancer, to do whatever I could to help others facing the disease.” His commitment to Crossroads4Hope was recognized at the organization’s 2021 Inspiring Hope event, when he was presented with the Nancy & Marty Dowd Spirit of Hope Award.

Amy J. Sutton, CEO of Crossroads4Hope, added, “Ralph is the right leader at the right time in our organization’s history as we accelerate our efforts to reduce the burden of cancer on individuals and families, especially those who are in vulnerable communities. Ralph’s passion and commitment to our mission come from seeing first-hand the impact of cancer on the people he loves. Turning one’s life experiences into action that mobilizes positive change in the community exemplifies true leadership.”

Weaver is the Founder and CEO of East West Connection, a full-service meetings, events, and incentive travel company based in Central New Jersey. With over 30 years of experience in meeting, planning, and corporate communications, Weaver previously served as Director of Marketing Communications at Johnson & Johnson and as Manager of Public Affairs, Consumer and Healthcare at Bristol-Myers Squibb.
