Dan Cruz: Oroho doesn’t fight his own battle as misrepresentation in Legislative District 24 is alarming
Legislative District 24 is one of the most conservative districts in the State of New Jersey. Our district has a beautiful mix; like the Sussex County welcome signs reads; “People and Nature Together”. Our communities are strong, safe and tight knit. Our schools are some of the best in the state as well as our surroundings are “GODS” gift to the rest of the north-west. Conservative values have been the center of our district; these same values have helped to keep our district so fantastic for its residents. Honesty, integrity, individuality, strength, hard work, determination are all things which has been paramount in my life since I was a child. These values helped me survive a difficult and rugged upbringing in the City of Paterson. A city which has suffered under democratic leadership for decades leading only to failure and strife for the residents. I moved to Sussex County to ensure a better life for my family, but also to surround myself with like-minded, hardworking Americans who know what makes this country great: dedication and patriotism.
My grassroots campaign has helped me meet many different people around our legislative district. Hearing the hardships, they are facing on a daily basis is troubling, but hearing they have been dealing with these problems for years is even more troubling. Sussex, Warren and Mount Olive township in Morris County are all republican areas, dominated by conservative voters, however, we are seeing the opposite kind of representation in Trenton. The gas tax, created by Senator Oroho and supported by Trenton democrat leaders has brought nothing but pain at the pump to the entire state. In Sussex County for example we have one of the highest rates of people commuting out of county for work, along with Warren county. This is not the type of representation the people of LD 24 voted on. More taxes on those who can’t afford it, is not a conservative value. The “Path to Progress” plan, or more accurately the “Path to Tyranny” plan was co-authored and lobbied by Senator Oroho. Among other things the plan calls for taking power away from local school boards and giving state democrats more control over our already suffering area schools. The same Democrat Governor who has seen fit to steal our hard earned tax dollars away from our schools so it is sent to schools outside of rural areas is the same person who our State Senator relies on for support of his democratic agenda items. This is not what the people of the 24th LD voted on or wanted.
The time is now for change!!! My character has been called out repeatedly by the Sussex GOP operatives sent by Steve Senator Oroho on two occasions. They are accusing me of being a democrat in disguise because I refused to step down from the race at their request and threaten me by saying they were going to falsely accuse me of many things just to make a story (Sussex GOP-thank you for helping me get my name out there within Sussex County, please continue). I’ll have more respect for Senator Steve Oroho if he was man enough to handle this primary election battle among us and not send his minions to do his work. This is the kind of senator who represents LD 24; someone who can’t fight his own battle like President Trump did for our country. The only democrat in disguise is Senator Steven Oroho, the man who asks “how high” when Governor Murphy says “jump”. The Governors socialist agenda items gets passed thanks to Senator Oroho’s quiet support for it or his lack of push back.
The Senators record of talking a big talk then pushing the opposite messages and agendas behind the scenes is not what this district deserves, this district deserves a real conservative Senator, someone who will stand up for our party values and actually represent the people of this district and not the swamp in Trenton or with Josh Gottheimer which they work close together on socialist agendas.
Our conservative ideology calls for the defense of our GOD given freedoms such as the first and second amendments; we need a leader who will actually fight to defend it, not sit by and allow these tyrannical laws to be passed, as we have recently seen. We need a conservative who will stand up for the family and fight to end the indiscriminate termination of pregnancies and defend those who cannot defend themselves. Our rights are being trampled and our party is shrinking all while the establishment politicians enjoy their tax payer funded parties and salaries. We must act before it is too late.
Many of the political elite within our district are accusing me of being a democrat and working with Governor Murphy on my campaign because I lived in Paterson. This is a shallow way to look at where I was born, which is something I didn’t choose. Being born and raised in urban areas, I have seen and learned how to challenge and shut down the liberal brainwashing which happens in these democratic strongholds. The republican party has been labeled a racist party for years, but I am living proof that talking point is a fallacy. Conservative values are exactly what is needed in these urban areas to help build these places up, instead of socialism and liberalism destroying them. One of the most important conservative lessons I have learned growing up was to judge people based on their character, not their color or creed, because we are all equal. We must not let the swamp politicians and their machine lackeys spread fear and hate within our ranks, further dividing us in hopes of clutching an election victory. We must bring power back to the people, the way our founders intended it. No more machine corruption or 13 year incumbents, it’s time to drain the swamp both here at home and in Trenton. It’s time to insure the LD 24 is governed by the people for the people!
