Dawson to take over as Chairwoman of Bergen County Young Republicans after Cericola Steps Down
Following a successful three-terms as Chairwoman of the Bergen County Young Republicans, Katie Cericola announced her immediate resignation to focus on her election for Waldwick Council. “The last seven years under the current leadership team has seen unprecedented levels of success for both YR candidates and YR influence in our party,” said Cericola, “and I am confident our team will continue to deliver victories for the YRs running this year, with an emphasis on Paramus, Ho-Ho-Kus and my own race in Waldwick.”
Vice-Chairwoman Alyssa Dawson will take over as Chairwoman. Dawson, a former Westwood Councilwoman and Chief of Staff to Senator Holly Schepisi, is looking forward to victories this November. “I am eager and honored to serve as Chairwoman and feel optimistic about 2021 being a strong year for the GOP from Jack Ciattarelli all the way down to our local races. This cycle is a golden opportunity to capitalize on Murphy’s failures and to build momentum across the county,” she said. Dawson will appoint Alex Cucciniello, a long-time operative living in Paramus as the new Vice-Chair.
The Bergen YRs will be hosting their annual Summer BBQ on August 14th where county and legislative candidates will be in attendance.
