BettyLou DeCroce Blasts Bergen for Support Liberal Legislation. Read her statement below.

Brian Bergen’s reading list for school age children includes the New York Times, the Washington Post, and the Los Angeles Times. For evening viewing he wants your TV tuned to CNN or NPR.
Why would someone who claims to be a conservative want your children indoctrinated by the far left media on every issue confronting our nation and our children? Because Brian Bergen isn’t a real conservative and he’s ill-prepared for the job as state legislator.

Bergen supported a shocking liberal “disinformation” bill that will soon be added to the school curriculum throughout the state. Unfortunately, the so called “Media Literacy” bill signed by Gov Murphy in January takes aim at conservative media and NOT the liberal media, which has turned into an arm of the Democratic Party and a supporter of all far-left movements.
The legislation was heavily influenced by liberal Rowan University adjunct professor Olga Polites, the New Jersey advocacy leader for a non-profit organization called Media Literacy Now, which is trying to infiltrate school districts nationwide. And Brian Bergen is helping her.

Brian Bergen again didn’t do his homework or he would have found out that Ms. Polities wrote an article for a liberal PBS news station in which she named a number of “bad actors” in the media… and she went on to name only conservatives such as Fox News’ Hannity, the deceased radio host Rush Limbaugh and conservative best-selling author, Mark Levin – while praising the left leaning Washington Post as a trusted media source. https://whyy.org/articles/the-next-generation-of-american-voters-must-learn-to-decipher-fact-from-fiction/.

It’s doubtful Bergen read the literacy bill before voting for it. . But he should have known about Republican distrust of the media. The Hill reports that 71 percent of Republicans have an unfavorable view of the news media, but only 22 percent of Democrats have an unfavorable view. Not surprising. Liberal journalists give Democrats the kind of biased news they want. Republicans, and conservatives are vilified as racists, violent, and dumb.
Thanks to Brian Bergen our children will get a heavy dose of liberal media bias in the classroom when they are taught to go the NY Times or Washington Post or WNBC News for “the truth.”

Thanks Brian. Maybe it’s time you turn in your pseudo-Conservative badge and stand aside and let an effective conservative woman take over your job.
