DeCroce Says Frelinghuysen Will Be Missed
Assemblywoman BettyLou DeCroce (R-26) issued the following statement on Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen ‘s decision to retire from the U.S. House of Representatives
“It has been my pleasure and my honor to know Rodney Frelinghuysen for many years and to work with him on issues that impact the people of North Jersey. The announcement of his retirement from Congress is tremendous blow – not just to the district, but to all of New Jersey. His years of experience in Congress, which allowed him to navigate the channels of the federal government will be sorely missed.
“My association with Rodney goes back many years. My late husband Assembly Republican Leader , and his partner Congressman Dean Gallo were friends and were instrumental in Rodney’s successful run for Congress.
“Professionally, I found Rodney to be eager and willing to help the people in the district. He was well versed on the issues facing Morris, Essex and Passaic counties — and beyond — and fought for his constituents. He was at all times a gentleman and a man of impeccable integrity who would never do anything to discredit the seat he held in the United States Congress.
“At a time when Congress is bitterly divided on almost every issue – Rodney’s bipartisanship and respect for the House – and his belief in getting things done for the people of the United States — stands out as a singular achievement in itself. His demeanor, his candor and is work on behalf of his constituents will be sorely missed.”
