GARWOOD, NJ – September 23, 2025 – Today, Democratic candidate and Garwood Councilman Vinnie Kearney released his first ad for the 2025 Assembly race in LD-21. The ad is a part of an aggressive buy across digital platforms and cable. The ad, featuring friends, neighbors, and Union County Sheriff Peter Corvelli, highlights Kearney’s reputation as an effective leader who gets things done and tells it like it is.

Kearney is a husband, father to two twin boys, a Detective with the Union County Sheriff’s Office and has been on Garwood town council since 2020. Vinnie is a graduate of the John H. Stamler Police Academy and worked as a 9-1-1 dispatcher and emergency medical technician before joining the Sheriff’s Office. He was also a senior official with the Kean University PD.
