Department of Banking and Insurance Acting Commissioner Caride Statement on Passing of Assemblyman Jerry Green
TRENTON – Department of Banking and Insurance Acting Commissioner Marlene Caride today issued the following statement on the passing of Assemblyman Jerry Green:
“I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Jerry Green, who was a friend and colleague. Jerry was dedicated to public service and to improving the lives of the people of Union County and the state of New Jersey. He fought tenaciously for the most vulnerable and championed policies aimed at creating affordable housing and improving education and safety in our communities.
“I will cherish the time we spent together in the Assembly, and always remember the guidance he provided and the laughs we shared over the years. He will be missed, but his legacy will live on to benefit New Jersey residents for years to come. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.”
