DePhillips says stop feeding the state budget with tax increases

TRENTON, N.J. – Assemblyman Christopher DePhillips (R-Bergen) released the statement below in response to Gov. Phil Murphy’s spending and tax plan:

“Raising taxes is not the way to address the affordability crisis in our state. We have to stop feeding the state budget with tax increases. We need to hold the line – reduce spending and cut needless, costly regulations on our business owners.

“This budget will cause more families and businesses to flee New Jersey. Increasing the sales tax in this climate is unconscionable.”
