PATERSON, NJ: Today, the Dominican American Elected Officials Caucus of NJ (DAEOC-NJ) announced its political endorsement of the following candidates in Passaic County, ROW A: Bill Pascrell for US Congress (9th District), Richard Berdnik for Passaic County Sheriff, Terry Duffy for Passaic County Commissioner and Pat Lepore for Passaic County Commissioner.
The caucus cited some of the accomplishments of the 4 candidates for re-election while highlighting their outstanding track record and commitment, especially to working families, education, small businesses, to the fight against crime, to improving our infrastructure and saving taxpayer dollars, among many other quality of life issues.
“Congressman Bill Pascrell’s leadership and proven record in Washington, shows that he is the best representative to advocate for issues that affect the diverse electorate that we represent. We are living in a contentious political climate and we need a champion in Washington like Congressman Bill Pascrell,” said Manny Segura, DAEOC NJ Chairman.
Members of the DAEOC NJ added that “Sheriff Richard Berdnik has been extremely resourceful in providing additional emergency personnel and much needed services to the residents of Passaic County, while also saving county taxpayer dollars. Public safety and the well being of our community has and continues to be his motto and his proven leadership is second to none.”
“Commissioners Duffy and Lepore have demonstrated that for the last 4 consecutive years they have not raised taxes in Passaic County, obtaining a favorable and historic rating,” said Rey Martinez, Vice Chair of the Caucus. “Their work includes investing in the maintenance and beautification of our parks and in advocating and protecting the prosperity of our small businesses through grants and funding, as well as making sure that we excel in our educational goals at our local technical and vocational high school and that our seniors receive the resources and services they absolutely need and deserve.”
