DORAN AND LIPSETT RUNNING FOR RE-ELECTION TO CHERRY HILL FIRE COMMISSION

Cherry Hill Township, Camden County – Ryan Doran and Sara Lipsett have announced their candidacy for re-election to the Cherry Hill Township Board of Fire Commissioners this November. As incumbents to the Board of Fire Commissioners in Cherry Hill and lifelong residents of Camden County, Ryan and Sara recognize the goals of the Cherry Hill Fire Department and the extensive public health and safety services needed to protect the life and property of Cherry Hill residents. Ryan and Sara are committed to continue serving the Cherry Hill community to guarantee equitable, high quality full service fire and emergency medical safety services for all.

Ryan Doran is a proud member of the IBEW Local 351 Electrical Union and has spent over 10 years ensuring thousands of New Jersey homes and corporations have access to electricity and power. In addition to his career, he has served as a member of the Camden County Planning Board since 2016 and a member of the IBEW Examining Board since 2019. In these roles, Ryan combines both his passion for public service with his strong communication and collaboration skills to serve members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and the communities across Camden County.

Ryan is also the founder and chairman of a labor caucus that helps build and support a network for young politically involved individuals, and was recognized for his community involvement by SNJ Business People with the “40 Under 40” award. While balancing his career and volunteer positions, he is a proud father to two wonderful children.

Sara Lipsett has proudly served the community of Cherry Hill for over 20 years. During her tenure as Cherry Hill Council Vice President, along with terms on the Cherry Hill Planning Board and Zoning Board, Sara has proven her commitment to protecting and serving the public to make sure Cherry Hill is the great place it is today. She proudly served the Cherry Hill Schools as PTA President at Horace Mann Elementary School, Beck Middle School and on the Executive Board of Cherry Hill Zone PTA.

Sara has served as an appointment by Governor Phil Murphy with the Delaware River Port Authority (DRPA) for over 2 years. As a DRPA Commissioner, she works collaboratively with 16 colleagues from the State of New Jersey and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to oversee the operation and effectiveness of the transportation agency and infrastructure that provides safe travel for millions of people. Presently, Sara works as a Grants Manager for the Camden County Police Department. Sara is a proud graduate of Temple University and mother to two daughters.

It’s pivotal that the men and women who sacrifice their lives to help those in need are given opportunities to receive equal benefits and pay across the board to provide effective and efficient fire and EMS services to all residents. I will continue to fight and advocate for the Cherry Hill Fire Department as Commissioner” said Sara Lipsett.

“As a Fire Commissioner, I’ve seen first hand the quality of service and safety the Cherry Hill Fire Department provides to the citizens of Cherry Hill. It is my top concern to meet the needs of the hard working Cherry Hill residents and those who serve them day in and day out. I will continue to protect our community including the firefighters who are prepared to perform and respond to every emergency across the town,” said Ryan Doran.
