Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters Backs Mondella for Hillside Mayor

Councilwoman Mondella of Hillside

To Whom It May Concern,

After careful consideration by The Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters leadership and its New Jersey members, we have decided to endorse the slate of Nancy Mondella for Hillside Mayor and Renee Howard, George Cook, and Armando Guerra for Hillside City Council in the 2021 November Election.

Supporting your team is important to our union and our members as we look to advocate with you on issues that affect our union, the union families we represent and all of the workers in our community.

Your slate is receiving the endorsement of our union because we share a common desire to protect workers’ rights in our region and the country as a whole.

Making sure that working class families receive the fair wage, good benefits and the safe working conditions they deserve seems like common sense. Your slate understands that there are those who actively take steps to weaken worker rights. Their actions threaten our local standard of living and our communities as a whole.

Our union looks forward to advocating for these rights with all of you as well as fighting against construction industry tax fraud, so-called right-to-work legislation, misclassification of workers, coerced labor and more.

By working with leaders like you, we can protect fair standards, protect working families and provide
opportunity for good paying jobs in New Jersey.

Congratulations on your selection and endorsement by the Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of
Carpenters. We look forward to your victory in November and continuing to work with you to better our
community.

Sincerely,
William C. Sproule
Executive Secretary-Treasurer
Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters
