EMILYs List Endorses Rebecca Bennett for
New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, is endorsing Rebecca Bennett for New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District. EMILYs List President Jessica Mackler released the following statement:
“Rebecca Bennett is a former U.S. Navy helicopter pilot, healthcare leader, and mom who has spent her career fighting for her community. Rep. Tom Kean, Jr. continues to play the stock market but has completely abandoned his district as New Jersey families feel increasingly financially squeezed. Rebecca is ready to build a better future. Rebecca will bring the fighting spirit that has defined her career to Congress to make life more affordable for hardworking families and put New Jerseyans first. EMILYs List is proud to endorse this Majority Maker as we work to take back this critical seat and the U.S. House majority.”
Rebecca Bennett is a veteran, former U.S. Navy helicopter and test pilot, Air National Guard officer, healthcare leader, and mom who has spent her career serving others. After earning an ROTC scholarship to study chemical engineering at Cornell University, Rebecca served more than 15 years in uniform as a pilot, aircraft commander, and Air National Guard officer. Using the GI Bill, she earned her MBA from Wharton before moving into healthcare, where she worked across startups and Fortune 50 companies to expand access to care, lower costs, and improve patient outcomes. Now, she’s running for Congress because she believes New Jersey deserves leaders who put service above politics and solutions above division.
