Essex County Commissioner Candidate Justin Harris, Joins the Gill Team

 

[Montclair, NJ] – Senator Nia H. Gill, Esq. announced today that Justin Harris (D-Montclair) has joined her ticket running for the office of at-large Essex County Commissioner in the June Democratic Primary election.

“I am joining the race for County Commissioner because I believe in the power of diverse voices in our county government. The importance of having representation for Generation Z cannot be overstated, as our generation brings fresh ideas and innovative solutions to the table and has a direct stake in the County’s future. I am excited to join a team of dedicated and experienced candidates, and together, we will work tirelessly to ensure a prosperous future for all our residents.”, said Justin Harris.

Justin Harris, a 20-year-old lifelong resident of Montclair with a passion for finance and fiscal matters, brings a fresh perspective to the County Commissioner race. Harris is committed to responsible budgeting, transparent financial processes, and supporting small businesses to create a thriving local economy. As a dedicated community volunteer, Harris understands the importance of working collaboratively to achieve meaningful change.

Senator Gill’s ticket also includes two Assembly candidates with extensive experience in public service: Eve Robinson (D-Montclair) and Frank Kasper (D-Clifton).

Assembly candidate Eve Robinson, a former Montclair Board of Education president, a deeply involved member of the community, and an experienced educator, has served as Executive Director of the Montclair Community Pre-K and currently works as the Program Director at the Central Jersey Family Health Consortium. With a background in education, advocacy, and child welfare, she aims to bring another strong female leadership voice to Trenton.

Assembly candidate Frank Kasper, a lifelong resident of Clifton and an advocate for education, supporting main street businesses, and fiscally responsible government, has over 14 years of teaching experience. He has served on the Clifton Board of Education, successfully fighting to keep the tax levy under half a percentage point, limiting the tax burden on residents. As a millennial, Frank is committed to bringing an underrepresented perspective and advocating for thoughtful, progressive policymaking in Trenton.
