Essex County Sheriff’s Crime Stoppers Program Offers $30,000 Reward for Information Leading to Arrest of Kendall Howard
Newark – Essex County Sheriff Armando B. Fontoura announced, today, that the Essex County Sheriff’s Crime Stoppers Program is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Kendall Howard, 30, of East Orange, who was charged with the attempted murder of two Newark Police officers on November 1.
After attempting to serve a warrant on Howard, in the area of Chancellor Avenue and Van Velsor Place, on November 1, authorities allege that Howard shot the two officers, who were rushed to University Hospital in Newark for treatment.
The United States Marshall’s Service is adding an additional $5,000 reward, for a total of $30,000 Essex County Sheriff’s Crime Stoppers reward, for information leading to the arrest of Howard.
