Felician University announces the launch of the Women in Leadership Speaker Series. The Women in Leadership Speaker Series follows the highly successful Felician Women’s Entrepreneurship Event held virtually in November.
The purpose of the series is to inspire and empower women leaders of the future by listening to powerful career advice, strategies, and stories of successful women leaders. The first speaker will be Deborah Visconi, President and CEO of Bergen New Bridge Medical Center on Wednesday, March 24 at 1pm. Ms. Visconi will talk about her journey and accomplishments in healthcare as a successful female leader, and share ideas on how students can navigate the business world after they graduate.
Professor Joy De Los Reyes, Assistant Professor in the School of Business and Information Sciences explains, “We want our students to walk away with a feeling of empowerment, a feeling of inspiration and a feeling of character, because it is character and strong leadership that will help our students grow and become what they want to be.”
Deborah Visconi was recently named one of the Top 25 Women Leaders by Modern Healthcare magazine. Ms. Visconi has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare and has championed many new diverse and innovative programs. She pioneered technology initiatives that lead Bergen New Bridge Medical Center to be the first hospital in the state to connect to the New Jersey Health Information Network.
“March 24 will be a chance to hear from a prominent and successful female leader who really speaks to the values of Felician in terms of her commitment to diversity, inclusion and collaboration,” added Professor De Los Reyes.
Launching a series during a global pandemic speaks to the commitment of Felician University’s leadership and faculty to students and others who are looking for support and encouragement during this time.
