Former Caba Campaign Manager Endorses Democrat Joseph B. Vas

Perth Amboy, New Jersey. (March 4, 2024) Sending shockwaves throughout the city, today Helmin Caba’s former 2020 Campaign Manager issued a decisive and full-throated endorsement of Democrat Joseph B. Vas for Mayor of Perth Amboy.

“Four years ago, I served as Campaign Manager to Helmin Caba in the local election for Mayor and his ‘2020 Vision’ campaign in which he promised to deliver ‘Real Solutions’ and a positive ‘Change.’ Sadly, I must now admit he took on this challenge without a true vision or a plan to succeed. It’s simply a fact. He lacks the knowledge and qualifications to do the job. Perth Amboy needs a qualified leader with a plan to address:

• The continued rise of violent crime and vandalism throughout our neighborhoods
• A financial plan that doesn’t rely on hidden taxes disguised as utility rate increases for water and sewer
• A plan to rebuild our City neighborhood by neighborhood
• An economic development plan that will benefit our residents, not the developers making huge campaign donations
• A leader who is confident and well-spoken, who can unify our diverse community and not pit one group against the other for political gain
• A Mayor who will restore freedom of speech and democracy in City Hall and throughout our historic city,” echoed emotionally, Victor Coronado.

It is abundantly clear now that many of those who truly believed the multitude of false campaign promises made by Mayor Caba, that it was simply a ploy to get their vote, politics as usual. I have made it clear to him and to the good people of Perth Amboy that I have a plan and my running mates and I intend to do the job. My goal is not about ascending to a political title, but rather restoring a quality of life and pride for all those who reside in our city,” stated Joseph B. Vas, Democrat for Mayor.

Perth Amboy is at a crucial crossroads. The outcome of our June 4th election will determine whether our city will continue to be at the end of a puppet string for years to come, or whether Perth Amboy and its residents will have the freedom to do what is in its best interest.
