BIG MONEY IN POLITICS

Union City, NJ — Former Democratic Presidential candidate Marianne Williamson has announced her
endorsement of NJ08 Congressional challenger Hector Oseguera.

Recognizing his professional background as an anti-money laundering specialist, Williamson sang the
praises of Oseguera’s anti-corruption campaign. “We need to shift from an economic bottom-line to a
humanitarian bottom-line, not because it’s easy but because it’s what’s right,” Williamson said. “Corruption has polluted the soul of our body politic & I’m proud to support Hector Osegeura in standing for a new America.”

After ending her own historic campaign for President – an outsider campaign that earned enough support to put her on the national debate stage twice – Williamson has endorsed several down-ballot candidates who align with her progressive values. The endorsements coincide with an organized fundraising effort on Williamson’s behalf: https://secure.actblue.com/donate/marianneendorses

“Marianne Williamson has consistently stood for a politics of life, love, and leading the way toward a better future” said Oseguera. “From one political outsider to another, it’s an honor to receive her endorsement.”

After early attempts to write-off his grassroots campaign, Oseguera has only continued to surge during the coronavirus crisis. Along with Williamson’s endorsement, the past week has also seen glowing spotlights of Oseguera in The Intercept and the Jersey Journal. Earlier in the crisis, Oseguera and a slate of county freeholder candidates lead a Twitter-trending movement to #CancelRentNJ, which led to immediate action from state legislators.
