Former Republican Assemblywoman Mary Pat Angelini joins Mercury Advisory Board
Westfield, NJ – Mercury, a bipartisan high-stakes public strategy firm, today announced that former New Jersey Assemblywoman Mary Pat Angelini is joining the firm’s Advisory Board. Most recently, Angelini was the CEO of Preferred Behavioral Health Group, one of the state’s leading behavioral healthcare organizations.

Recognized as one of New Jersey’s most respected leaders on behavioral healthcare issues, Angelini has devoted her career to fighting for children and families. From 2008 to 2016, she served in the New Jersey Legislature. As the Republican Assemblywoman representing the 11th Legislative District, Angelini was the prime sponsor of the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights and the “Lifeline” legislation. While serving as the ranking member of the Health and Human Services Committee, Angelini wrote legislation to improve conditions at state psychiatric hospitals.
Before joining Preferred Behavioral Health Group, Angelini served as Executive Director of Prevention First, where she oversaw programs dealing with issues like substance use, violence, and bullying.

Angelini served as a program development specialist with Monmouth County’s Division of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services, where she coordinated Monmouth County’s local coalitions to prevent substance abuse.

Among her many current leadership roles, Ms. Angelini serves as the Chair of the Human Services Advisory Council of Monmouth County, and as Vice Chair of the 200 Club of Monmouth County. She also sits on the Executive Board of the Monmouth Ocean Development Council and the Brookdale Community College Board of Trustees. Lauded for her commitment to New Jersey families and her leadership in the business community, Ms. Angelini is the recipient of numerous awards from local, state and national organizations.

Angelini earned a Bachelor of Social Welfare from East Tennessee State University and a Master of Public Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University. She lives in Ocean Township with her husband, Robert. They have two children and three grandchildren.
