Former Trenton Mayoral Candidate Lartigue Backs Gusciora in Runoff

Former Trenton Mayoral Candidate Lartigue Backs Gusciora in Runoff

Trenton, NJ –  Assemblyman Reed Gusciora, who is running for Trenton Mayor, announced on Monday an endorsement from one of his toughest former opponents in the May 8th election. Gusciora was the second-highest vote-getter, sending him to the runoff against candidate Paul Perez.

Former Trenton City Councilwoman Annette Lartigue today pledged her support in favor of the Gusciora Campaign. her backing will be invaluable in the coming weeks for the Assemblyman. Lartigue brought home hundreds of valuable votes just 3 weeks ago.

“Leadership begins with respect and experience. My gut is with Reed in this election runoff because his experience in public policy is unmatched.” – Lartigue continued – “Any attempt to speak to Reed’s experience as an elected official should include his ability to bring in state money for our city. Reeds ability to be inclusive and build statewide coalitions is exactly what we need right now. Principals before personalities must be our battle cry and at the forefront of all our efforts to rebuild Trenton. I am a Democrat on sound ground. However, I’m not supporting Reed because I’m a Democrat. I am supporting Reed because he has the experience to get the job done. Trenton deserves a qualified and experienced leader. Reed should be Trenton’s next Mayor.”

“I am honored and thankful for my opponents to believe in my candidacy,” Gusciora said. “We need everyone  city residents, business owners, and everyone in between  to lift Trenton together, and make our city one of the best state capitals in the country.”

The runoff election will take place on June 12th.
