I represent 38 undocumented immigrants who were hired – many were provided with false documents by Trump management – and who all worked hard for years making a profit for Donald Trump and his properties, only to be summarily fired when confronted with the fact that Trump was operating a criminal enterprise on the backs of undocumented immigrants.

I was speaking today with one of my clients, Sandra Diaz, about a particularly odious comment about the president’s resident anti-immigrant whisperer, Stephen Miller. I am referring to a story in Politico this morning. I read Sandra the last line of the article which quoted a source saying of Miller, ‘It’s not an overstatement to say Stephen Miller wakes up every morning thinking about illegal immigration and goes to sleep thinking about it as well.’ Well, there are many outrages and indignities that Sandra and the other brave men and women have who have come forward to testify to concerning the criminal abuse and treatment of undocumented workers. This in addition to the breathtaking hypocrisy of Trump who built his anti-immigrant political brand on the backs of immigrants while profiting at the same time from the labor. Sandra gave me permission to offer up what she said in response to the comment about Miller.

Sandra said, ‘When Stephen Miller goes to sleep at Trump properties, like Bedminster, he is sleeping in a bed made by undocumented immigrants. When he wakes up, he is fed by them. The same is true for the Trump family. They rely on our labor even as the attack us and our communities.  What a bunch of hypocrites. Cruel, demeaning hypocrites.’
