FRANCO & MORAN FOR LEH TWP. COMMITTEE JOIN HISTORICAL SOCIETY TO HONOR FALLEN PATRIOTS

(Little Egg Harbor Twp.) – On Sunday afternoon, Gabriel Brian Franco & Shaun Moran, candidates for Little Egg Harbor Township Committee, joined the Affair at Egg Harbor Historical Society and other organizations at the Casimir Pulaski Monument in Little Egg Harbor to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in 1778 to defend the area from the British during the War of American Independence.

“We were humbled to join the community in honoring the patriots who gave their lives to secure our freedom by defending Little Egg Harbor and the surrounding area from the Royal Navy during the War of American Independence. It is important to commemorate those historical figures who fought to uphold the timeless American ideals of liberty and justice for all,” said Franco & Moran in a joint statement issued on their campaign social media page. “Thank you to the Affair at Egg Harbor Historical Society for highlighting Little Egg Harbor’s rich revolutionary legacy!”

The event, which is held annually, included an insightful lecture on the historical context of the landmark, a communal flag-folding ceremony, and the laying of a sword, wreath, and flowers at the base of the monument. Attendees who participated in the flag-folding ceremony wore gloves in addition to their masks.
