Gabrielle Cahill Piscataway Democratic Organization, Chair: An Open Letter of Thanks to the residents of Piscataway
Thank you for supporting the Column B Democrats!
Piscataway, as your Democratic Chair, I would like to extend my gratitude to you, for sending your mail-in ballots, voting early, and coming out for the Tuesday, June 7th election to exercise your right to vote! And boy did you make your vote count! You voted for the Team that works for the Piscataway residents….
We are thrilled you selected our hardworking Council Candidates, Frank Uhrin, Jim Bullard, Sharon Carmichael, Michele Lombardi, Congressman Frank Pallone, County Sheriff Millie Scott, County Commissioners Charlie Kenny, ClaryAzcona-Barber, and our very own Chanelle Scott McCullum!
I want to especially thank all those who supported and endorsed our candidates. To the men & women of the Middlesex-Somerset County Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO, your hard work and dedication to our candidates was beyond our expectations!
Senator Cory Booker and Congressman Frank Pallone, a special debt of gratitude for endorsing our candidates and for taking time out of your busy schedules to show that support!
Ward 1 Councilman Frank Uhrin, Ward 2 Councilman Jim Bullard, Ward 3 Council Candidate Sharon Carmichael and Ward 4 Councilwoman Michele Lombardi are a team. There is no “I” in team. They are the Democrats who work together striving to keep Piscataway one of the best towns in which to live. Money Magazine said so four times – 2008, 2010, 2014, and 2019! Most importantly, with the leadership of Mayor Brian Wahler and the Council, Piscataway was reaffirmed by Standard & Poor’s with a rating of AA+ stable, their 2nd highest rating!
Column B is the team who has your best interest in mind. This is the team who worked to bring a state-of-the-art Community Center, the YPCC, managed by the YMCA, at no additional tax burden to the residents and which was built by all Union Labor! Did you know our Piscataway Community Center is the third highest utilized YMCA in the state of New Jersey? Your involvement and investment in our town made this happen!!
You, the residents chose the Column B team who has brought a Youth Recreation program that is free to Piscataway families! The Column B team has brought to you, Free Concerts in the Park, 26 beautiful township parks with a 27th Ecological Park in the works, dedicated bikeways, a commitment to creating walkability, two libraries, a senior center, and senior housing with beautiful grounds. The Column B team brought you a lower tax rate, kept township services in place, and ensured township employees kept their jobs during the pandemic. At the very core of what the Column B team works so hard at, is solid economic development, which is how we are able to provide of these for the Piscataway residents.
A HUGE thank you to the Piscataway Democratic Organization members who work hard at every election to Get Out the Vote! Our members are your neighbors, your friends, and your family. They are our volunteers and are the backbone of our great organization!
Finally, again, thank you to the residents of Piscataway who voted for Frank, Jim, Sharon, and Michele – the Team dedicated to keeping Piscataway the Best place in which to live and raise a family!
Ever grateful,
Gabrielle Cahill, Chair
Piscataway Democratic Organization
